Spiral Ham?
« on: April 12, 2010, 10:04:23 AM »
does spiral ham - like 'honey bake' - exist in UK?  I'm having a baby shower luncheon - and it would be the perfect thing to serve.

I've not seen them here, but you could always pop into your local butcher and ask.

I saw spiral cut hams at Costco just before Easter. I don't think it had the glaze like honey baked hams but that would be easy enough to recreate. Not sure if it was just an Easter thing but might be worth a look or a call.

i bought one at costco for easter, and was surprised at how good it was after i doctored it up. the costco at lakeside still had about 6 last week, but i don't know if they will continue to carry them.  the smallest ham, which was still quite large, was 28 pounds but well worth it. perfect for a party.
