I don't mind the extra time at home, seeing family and friends, but I have a few things I was looking forward to in the UK in the next couple of weekends and it sucks that I'm going to miss them now.  Oh well, it could be much, much worse....

Appreciated.  I wasn't trying to discount your troubles.

Which airport are you flying into? I thought Northern UK airspace was opening today?

It opened for a short time in Scotland and northern England, but she's flying into Manchester and that airport is still closed there until at least 19:00 tonight.  They will update again at 15:00.

Yep Manchester is closed till 19:00 Tuesday night....i hope and pray that it opens.  The flight like mine tonight isnt cancelled yet....and neither is mine...yet.

Yes i was very very excited.  After the news that airports where opening I went home and packed while camming with my guy...we were both psyched...now...well...what is there to say...more crappy waiting.

Yeppers stuck in turkey...Add us to the long line of canceled flights haha

We fly thomas cook airline but didnt stay at their hotel but they are begin super nice!

Tonight we have to go to the airport at midnight HA and then they will take us to one of their hotels (which one who knows) and get free hotel and food and drink!

So we are trying to see it as extra days of vacation free (kind of)

Who knows when we will get back now

Well airports have been updated to stay closed till 1am UK time (8 pm USA time).  FFS.  I just know I am going to be cancelled.  I hate this.  9 years since ive been to the UK and the one time I decide to fly over, save up ALL my money, and a flaming volcano erupts.  Good grief.

This is one time when it can be looked at as a blessing in disguise if you are financially strapped and can't travel.

Stuck in Dallas.  I came on a one way, because I wasnt sure when I wanted to go home yet and prices were steep. Im ready to go back to London, but who knows when we will all be able to do that.  Hopefully things clear up soon, and give everyone some much needed relief.
