Okay, so my boyfriend and I are both going to visit my house in the US soon. We want to buy plane tickets - he is a UK citizen, can he still buy a plane ticket from the US site(they're cheaper)? My parents in the US can buy them for us and then we can just print them out from the internet...is there any reason why we couldn't do this?
Thanks!

It's just that it says on the site "Price for U.S. Residents only". Does that just mean that you basically have to have an address in the U.S? And, virtually, my parents would be confirming that by buying the tickets with their credit card for what not which links to their address. I mean, the people at the airport wouldn't be able to tell that my boyfriend's ticket was purchased from an American site would they?

Yes, that's pretty much what they mean.  I think it has more to do with processing credit cards than anything else.  I buy tickets from US websites all the time, using a credit card that is still registered at my parents house in the US.  I have never had a problem using those tickets.

Yeah, I've had issues trying to purchase things online from US sites using my UK credit card... if it's not registered to a US address, some sites won't accept it. In the past, I've had to book flights using a US relative's card details and then pay them back later (I was living in the US at the time and they were domestic flights, but I only had a UK card and so wasn't able to purchase the flights myself).

Not quite the same, but we bought DW's daughter's ticket to visit us from the US and bought it on a US site as we were on the phone with her friend's father trying to both buy tickets at the same time (as they were travelling over together) so we could ensure they got on the same flights. I used my UK credit card ok to buy it.
