Sent my spousal visa off!!!

Now that the hurricane has come and gone here in Florida and postage is back to running semi-normally, I went today and took my package to the post office and had it sent overnight to the NY consulate.

Hoping that everything arrives there ok and that we get a reply quickly. Unfortunately I had to put a note in there to them about my power being out and having no telephone lines as they can't reach me by my home telephone now, so I gave them some cell phone's that they could attempt to reach me on but as their repairing damage to cell towers around here I only hope that their able to get through.

Other than that, hubby and I just have our fingers crossed that we get an answer back quickly so that we know how soon we'll be together. I really miss him and can not wait to get back with him.

I will make an update ASAP as soon as I hear something!! *hugs* Ciao all...

Here's to let you know that I'm praying that you will SOON be reunited with Neil and I'm sending good thoughts your way, Missy!  Let us know how it all goes.  If it goes quickly and well for you I may just do it that way when I get back, and send it off instead of taking the trip there in person.  It would save money...and, at this point, money is tight ( unfortunately).

Thank you all - it was accepted in New York today at 11:23 a.m., so hopefully we should be hearing something from them soon. Maybe even as early as tomorrow. Would love to get an interview on the telephone in this week as I'm off for most of this week and haven't a clue what next weeks schedule looks like because of all of this hurricane stuff.

I shall try to keep all of you updated but thank you for all the good wishes, means a lot to me really!!!

Don't worry if you don't hear anything. It means you're good and they don't need to interview you. You will receive the visa in a couple of weeks. 

LoL as much as I try to think possitively, I'm pretty sure they'll want to interview me and the hubby. Not a real problem though, I know all that I want to say and that all my reasons for going there are because I love him.

Yeah, that's why I am thinking that - for me - doing it in person is the only viable option.  I know they'll want to interview me.  And, I am so much better in person than I am on the phone.  ~~sigh~~  I have this phone-a-phobia.

Well after spending the last few days pondering on wether I should call or not and see what's going on with it, I finally picked up the phone today and called them.

They said that it could take 5 - 10 working days for them to begin to process anything inside of the packages and since mine had only been there just under 5 days that she was not going to chase it up for me and that I would just have to wait to hear from them but that rest assured they would call me eventually.

Oh great - nothing I love more than playing the waiting game.

I'm nervous enough and my stomach is in knots...It's only two weeks and four days until I want to leave and it's looking more and more like I need to push the date away some more as money isn't coming together the way I had hoped because of hurricane Charley coming through.

None-the-less I will keep everyone posted...and thank all of you for the best wishes and such, my husband and I are truly thankful!!

Hang in there, Missy.  I'm praying for you and sending every good thought I can your way!  I know how time goes sooooo agonisingly slow when you are seperate from the one you love....it just drags.  I am not looking forward to the two months that will seem like an eternity when I have to go back in October.  But, after we get those spousal visas.....YAY!  We won't have to think about being away from the men we love!

*big huggles* Awww you're a star hun thank you very much!!! Trust me I'll be there for you when you get to this point. But I just want to hear something and good news LoL!! We're waiting patiently though and hoping we'll get our good news soon enough. Facing another 40 hour work week this week so hopefully that will keep my mind off of things for a bit. Though I must admit I can't wait to hand in my two weeks notice there LoL!!
