Neosporin!! It took me months to before I realised they don't sell antibiotic ointment over the counter here. Antiseptic is not the same.

Yeah, I had an English customer phone our pharmacy recently asking if we kept Neosporin... it had been recommended by a friend, but I had to tell her that it wasn't available to buy over the counter in the UK - I'm guessing her friend was either from the US or had bought it in the US when visiting.

Bon Ami cleaner.  Haven't found any other good non-scratching non-toxic scrub for bathtub.  Sprays don't cut it.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Go get the magic eraser after I cleaned the tub with the foam crap I knew it needed more - found mine at the pound shop and WOW the tub and sink look brand new.

Have tried them but TBH they don't seem to do much.  I have a dirty guy (archaeologist) and the bathtub takes a beating.

Just wanted to report back that the Method tub scrub is just as good and smells FAB!  At least now I don't have to load down my suitcase on our trip home next week :P

I am going to look for this, for the last few weeks my local Qualitysave (I love that shop) has been carrying Method products and I think they are great!

Asian, Chinese anyway, stores often carry root beer.  Our local one has Mug and A&W.

I need to tell my fiance about this! He's always been complaining that he hasn't been able to buy root beer in England, and he seems to love it very much.

Drank a lot of it when he came to the US.

My sister can't seem to understand that I live in another country and they might have different ways of doing things. She insists there must be neosporin in the UK.  :P No.:P

ooh, I forgot about that one.  I certainly don't "love" it, it's the taste of being ill to me since childhood (and why I always gave away my pink necco wafers that reminded me of that taste).  I haven't, though, found anything here that works quite the same way and periodically have someone bring out a bottle for me.

Pepto Bismol is available to buy over the counter in just about any UK pharmacy. It comes in three different bottle sizes (120ml, 240ml and 480ml) and in two tablet pack sizes (12 and 24 tablets).

Really?  I've been here for nearly four years and have never seen it once.  I'm baffled.

Maybe it just isn't popular here like at home?

Working in a pharmacy, I've seen it everyday for the last few years :P. I just sold a packet of the Pepto Bismol tablets to a customer this morning. Here it is on the Boots website: Pepto Bismol

Maybe not - I don't sell it as often as I sell other indigestions remedies, such as Gaviscon, Rennie and Zantac. It's been available to buy in the UK since 1979 though (according to the UK Proctor and Gamble website).
