Warm weather ahoy?!
« on: May 17, 2010, 06:14:54 PM »
This week's forecast (for Leeds) is for the temps to finally crack the upper 60s/low 70s (64-72)!  :o 8)

Long term forecast says turning cooler at the end of the month, into June.

So maybe this is summer coming for the next week or so - get out there & enjoy it while it lasts!  :)

Yes!  I love it!  I got so much laundry done today (it dried in about 2 hours on the line!) and all the windows are wide open as the house is airing out.  I'm not too happy about the colder weather coming later this month but since my pregnancy has turned me into a walking radiator, I think I'll survive.

It's been a nice day here! Looked rainy to start, but the sun has been shining since. Thank goodness.

Here in West Berkshire, while out walking the dogs, I actually broke a sweat  - first time since moving here in December last year (other than the gym visits).

I was so excited to hear the rest of the week is going to be even warmer!

It came just in time - I was beginning to lose it knowing it's May already and has been freezing.

According to bbc, we get 2 days of warm with temperatures creeping up to warm-ish and then the rain comes, with the warmest weather we've seen thus far this year.  Some days I love living in a denty bit of England.   ::) ::)

It's not warm up here, really, but warmer and sunny. I have high hopes, but I may be disappointed.  :P Hopefully there will be at least a few weeks at some point this summer that will be in the 70's up here.  :-\\\\

How bizarre is the UK weather?!!  It's only 4 days' difference between the most recent post on 'Snow Report 2010' and this thread starting!  [smiley=laugh4.gif]

Let's hope we cannot say the same in June...  [smiley=anxious.gif]

ETA:  Forecast says almost 80 degrees for tomorrow!!  8) [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I'm almost afraid to say it out loud (so to speak) but it's been downright pleasant today here!  Forecast for the weekend is sunny and low 70's.  I might actually be able to get my yardwork done!!

OMG!  It's been so hot yesterday and today that I've had to rearrange our tea schedule in order to make meals that didn't involve the oven being on!  It's 6:30pm and 25.5C (almost 78F) in our living room.  Windows are flung open and fan is blaring...at least the sun finally moved to the other side of the house.  Sweat.  Not fun.  Good thing it's take away night.  Hubby is not keen on salads.  On the bright side, it was laundry day.  My clothes dried on the line so fast that I did sheets and towels (usually do that on Sundays) and pre-washed all my cloth nappies.  Then still had time left over to do non-laundry related things.

Oh I <3 <3 <3 this weather!  Forecast keeps pushing the cooldown further out (Tuesday now) & no showers in sight (per the forecast) at the moment.  Supposed to be near 80 degrees both today and tomorrow!  ;D

Keep explaining to hubby - this is the reason I moved to Florida back in the day!  My aches & pains - gone!  My blues - gone!  PMS - all but non-existent.  I am a happy happy girl.  Damn I wish he could work his job somewhere year-round nicer than here - like southern Florida or southern Spain.  8)

Yay! It was sooo beautiful here today, it was incredible. Too bad the tide is out and the seaweed is drawing flies like mad, though.  :P We can't even open our windows because of all the stupid flies everywhere!
