Will Anyone Buy Back Euro Coins?
« on: June 02, 2010, 01:12:20 PM »
I've got over 50 euros in 1 and 2 euro coins and would like to convert them back to pounds.   It looks like M&S only buys back notes.  Does anyone know if the Post Office or anywhere else will buy back coins?

TIA.

I don't think a UK bank is going to accept non-UK currency for deposit.

Even coins?  I'm not surprised a UK bank would convert notes into UK currency and then deposit it, obviously, but I'd not heard of coins being accepted.  If anyone would do it, I guess it would be HSBC though.

Yep. I had about 50 Euros left from a trip and deposited it into my account. No questions asked. They have deposited 2 US checks for me too with a VERY minimal charge.
