Hi, Suzer.
Most important is to get a residence letter from the owner. My sister and brother-in-law were going to write a letter for me, but they are renters. The landlord would have had to write a letter saying it was OK for me to live with them.
My nephew and his wife are joint homeowners. My nephew's letter said that he and his wife (and she also signed the letter) would provide room and board for me at no charge until I got a job and a place of my own. They also said that if I were to become ill, they would take care of me. Aren't they wonderful!
HTH,
Chris
