examples of letters of support

would anyone have an example of a letter of financial support or a letter that you used to show that you had a place to reside (in-laws, etc).  i'm starting to get our paperwork together for our fiancee visa.  my mom will be doing a letter of financial support, to strengthen the app, and his folks will be writing a letter to say we may stay with them until we have a place.  thx!

Hi, Suzer.

Most important is to get a residence letter from the owner.  My sister and brother-in-law were going to write a letter for me, but they are renters.  The landlord would have had to write a letter saying it was OK for me to live with them.

My nephew and his wife are joint homeowners.  My nephew's letter said that he and his wife (and she also signed the letter) would provide room and board for me at no charge until I got a job and a place of my own.  They also said that if I were to become ill, they would take care of me.  Aren't they wonderful!

HTH,
Chris

The letter I got was a letter written by the estate agent that my husband is renting through...just stating that he owned it, how long he had been living there and that once I arrived in the UK I would also be taking up residence there. And then, of course, my husband wrote a letter in petition of me to come live in the UK with him and that he would be my sponsor and would be responsible for me.

Don't know if that helps - but that's what I did.

So close no matter how far, couldn't be much more from the heart and nothing else matters...

The landlord wrote a short paragraph stating that my husband had rented from him for X years and had always paid on time and been an excellent tenant. He also added that I was welcome to live there once I moved to the UK.

My husband [fiance at the time] simply wrote a short note saying that he and I had met X years ago, we'd been visiting each other regularly since then and that he was in total support of my move to the UK. That we were engaged for X number of months, and that he'd support me as my husband until I could legally work in the UK.

Neither letter was very long, neither was beautiful prose... but they did the trick. :)

Hope this helps.
