Basketball
« on: June 24, 2010, 12:52:01 PM »
Hello, I am looking for a few people to play basketball with, one of the things I truly miss from the States is showing up on a court and within minutes getting a game on with complete strangers. Surprizingly there are plenty of courts around but shooting around on my own is a little boring, my oldest is only 6 in a few years I look forward to teaching him, but until then would love to meet up with some fellow Americans for a game I'm in the West Midlands and am willing to travel a bit to play. I am not very good but love to play......

mike, @ the next softball training i'll ask if anyone is interested in a "pre-planned pickup" game.  I'm sure there's a couple of guys on our team that know how to play.  The NIA has a council leisure centre in its bowels with some quite good basketball courts that I think are only £10/hr.

Hey Mike,

Did you ever end up finding pickups games or joining basketball league?  I've just moved to London and I'm struggling with the same thing.

Cheers,
Trevor
