I have a mini one to make cuban coffee- it works great  :)

I think it was a smallish one she was thinking of, enough for 2 cups.

What's Cuban coffee?

Oooh, its like heaven and liquid crack, which I got horribly addicted to thanks to my former life  :)

Cuban Coffe/Café Cubano is an espresso - that you brew a little, then froth up with tons of sugar, then add more esperesso to it- its intensely strong and yet really smooth and you drink it as shots-  You can get it as a Colada, which is like a big glassful- then shared.

You can then make it to make Cortadito, which has steamed milk added on top, or into Café con leche  (coffee with milk)

I ran out of Java Jampit this week  :\\\'( ... and ASDA doesn't carry it so I'm trying the ASDA Extra Special 100% Arabica Fairtrade Ethiopian Mocha Limu. It's a 4 on the strength scale...

I've just had a cup made with my cafetiere and it's nice. Not as bold like the Java Jampit but more subtle in flavors and I can taste the Chocolate flavour and the Apricot...Overall grade 7 out of 10. It'll do until I can find some more Java Jampit somewhere.

I've almost given up on coffee these past few weeks...Our local shop doesn't carry anything that's not Colombian coffee and I just can't drink that stuff...I asked my husband to buy me some from his shop (as it's bigger & has more choice) and he brought home...yup, Colombian  ::)

He's been working so much that we've not been to ASDA in a while so I can't even get some of their arabica and I can't find the Taylors Java Jampit or Hot Lava Java anywhere...well without taking a bus for an hour to get where I know they have it which is not possible when you have a 2 year old  :-\\\\

I'm so bummed out I've started drinking instant  [smiley=bleck.gif]

I was in England last week and my friend bought the Hot Lava Java at Tesco and I thought of you! It was pretty good! I hope you're able to find it again!

I never realized there was such a difference.  I checked to see what we get and it's arabaca (?)--not Colombian.  I hate the coffee at MILs, it's almost as bad as bad instant--tastes like dishwater--maybe it's Colombian--I will check next time we are there.

Yeah, Arabica is very smooth you can drink it really strong and it doesn't become harsh. But Colombian is VERY harsh and has about 5x the caffeine as Arabica....I used to drink colombian all the time, but now I just can't it almost makes me feel ill.

When I went home for a visit, I drank my beloved Dunkin as much as possible, and brought back some.  Although I feel like I never do it as well in the press, but we simply don't have room for a machine!  Between the breadmaker, a microwave and a toaster..there goes our counter space.

Interesting, I didn't know that!

Strange that as DW loves Columbian coffee. Our instant at the moment is a Kenco Columbian. Been to Morrison's this morning and the Taylor's coffee is 2 for £4 so we got Columbian and Java Jampit. Still got some of the Guatamalan left though for tomorrow.

Confess I like the Colombian or Guatemalan too. Lately I've been getting 1/2 caf. stuff in an attempt to cut back.  [smiley=dozey.gif]
