Yes!  Except my very over-the-top-tidy in-laws are going to be here Thursday night!  :-X

They know & accept that we are both slobs, but when they come (with me knowing how clean & tidy their house is) - I always feel like such a loser on the housekeeping front.  :P

I am a clean-as-you-go type of person, particularly when it comes to the kitchen.  I hate a dirty kitchen and I hate seeing dishes in the sink or even in the drying rack.  As soon as they are dry, then away they go.

However, I do the exact opposite when it comes to putting away laundry.  I just don't do it.  I know it will only take me 10-15 minutes to put it away but it will only get done once every couple of weeks, if that.  Things just go from the 'dirty' pile, into the wash, onto the airer, and then into a 'clean' pile in the corner of the room.  Once worn, they return to the 'dirty' pile and the cycle continues.

I've never had a job that required me to look nice, so I don't worry about ironing or anything like that.

I also don't dust nearly as often as I should.

I would be a disgusting dirty housepig (cleaning is far from the top of my list of priorities) if it weren't for  my experience in my last flat.

As I said earlier, dirt and stains were allowed to build up over years - until it was physically impossible to get them off.

Everytime something was cooked in the oven, the kitchen stank from the smell of baked on grease.

I could only cook on one of the four hobs on the cooker, because the others were so covered with grease that if you turned them on you'd set off the smoke alarm.

The microwave that we had when we moved in was completely black on the inside from food that nobody bothered to clean off - I had to look the other way when I put food in it because if I looked inside I would gag.

There were different colored stains that were deeply embedded in the counter surfaces.

I couldn't clean this stuff up because the dirt was so deep that I didn't have the physical strength to clean it.

(I threw away the microwave.)

I clean regularly now because I never ever, ever, ever, ever want to live anywhere that is in that condition again and I'm paranoid that if I let things go they may get that way.

I'm late to this thread but I'm in!!  ;D

I could be a better housekeeper but I don't care that much about it, not enough to get rid of my beloved clutter, or to skip a chance to go for a walk in the sun, or to have a picnic with my family, or to visit some historic sight, or...well...almost anything.

I'm ashamed to say that like Mrs Robinson, I mostly care when my in-laws are coming to visit.  :-[

That said, I did recently clean my oven.  If you put a ton of baking soda on it (even those glass streaks) and then pour vinegar on top and wait for a while it does some magical chemical reaction which dissolves that stuff and makes it a lot easier to get off.
