Yes, but thank God that scare has passed  ;D  I have a question for someone... my husband whom is in the UK is very leery about posting his original birth certificate and/or passport overseas.. does anyone know if he gets certified copies of those documents, if that would be good enough?  Thanks ya'll

Hi , just read your post, my Fiancee is in Kentucky, I sent my old passport, a notarized copy of my current passport and my full birth certificate, I was also wary of sending them so far away, I used the ' Airsure ' service with Royal Mail, so I could track them, and they arrived safe and sound in 7 days.

I totally understand what you are feeling, I hope your passport arrives and you can get the ball in motion, will you be using Priority service ?

~sigh~ I've sent photocopies of both birth certificate and passport (and my children's birth certificates) but not original documents as we didn't know at the time that it was required. I stated in my support letter that originals could be provided if required. Will that be an automatic refusal? Should we contact worldbridge?

A new week begins, good luck to everyone expecting to hear this week. We'll all be waiting for your good news! x

Yes, I plan on using priority.  I just want this over with!  I dont know what the current processing time is with priority, but Im hoping its only going to be a few weeks, its the waiting that kills ya!

Planning on using worldbridge it looks like.. Although the whole thing looks a bit confusing LOL  My worry right now is housing.  My husband is renting a room from a private landlord.  He has two rooms in the basement of the house with his own entrance.  We really want to pick out a place together so Im hoping a letter from the lady he lives with saying I can be there till we find a place will be sufficient.  Everything else should be okay because I have no past criminal problems and have actually never had a passport before.  Heck, Ive never even been on an airplane, so I think we should be okay.. just so much to do.. been selling off our furnishings here and trying to get things sorted as far as paperwork to send/take/and store at my sisters LOL  Just wish I could close my eyes and be there already.

Priority processing is within 15 working days or less (unless you have criminal convictions or previous refused entries/visas to the UK, in which case you have to add on 2-4 weeks). Recently we have seen priority applications processed in just a couple of days.

Worldbridge is your only option when it comes to priority processing - there is no other way to speed up the application process.

You can only purchase the priority service on the day that you physically mail your application documents to the consulate - so first you need to gather your documents, apply online, pay for the application and attend your biometrics appointment. Then your documents have to reach the consulate within 14 calendar days of the biometrics appointment - on the day you mail the documents (before mailing) you go to the Worldbridge website and purchase the priority service ($300 for settlement visas).

You need to include a letter from the landlord giving you permission to live in the property and his tenancy agreeement showing that he lives there (if you were living with his relatives, you would also need the land registry document and proof that the home will not be overcrowded with you living there too, but not sure if you will need either of these as well).
