Thank you for your input ksand24!  We have decided he will go secure down our own place so we dont have any setbacks.

I feel for all of you on here still waiting.  I am still waiting to get my dang passport in the mail so I can start the visa!  Patience is definitely not one of my strong points  ;D

May I ask what part of the UK you all will be settling in?

Hi again,  I am in Shropshire, in the Midlands, nice quaint market town, my Fiancee loves it, a lovely contrast from Louisville Kentucky. 28 days today since our application was received and opened at the New York Consulate, so, fingers crossed, can't be too much longer now  :)

Good luck with securing your own place, and I hope your passport arrives promptly, it's a lot of waiting, but it will all be worth it in the end  ;D

Hi everyone :)

So the wait begins for us now  :o  Got married over in the US on 2 April and I came back to UK 9th. Hubby (US) sent off the documents for spouse visa (settlement priority) on Monday 11 April and received his email notifying they received it yesterday.

So, so nervous and anxious....we've been together 3 years - I am a worrier by nature so my worrying is going through the roof :o :o. Hopefully we will find out either way soon, just want hubby here now  :)

Good luck everyone  :)

Thanks Alekz  :)
We can indeed worry together! Keep us posted on where you are up to! Did you apply by Settlement Priority as well Alekz?

I'm imagining with all applications going through New York now that the outcome of these will possibly take up to the full 15 days...eek..I hope not! I will definitely be like this ---->  :o :o :o :-\\\\ :o by the end of next week!! ;D

I am finding I am okay and then every now and then will remember the visa application and my mind starts going over and over, poor hubby is usually not to bad on the worry front but even he is at it!! Plus he has to open his emails and wait and see. :o

Good luck!  x

Aww Alekz, I kept thinking of things I weren't sure I had done right and worrying like mad, I worried about the certifed Marriage certificate, whether all our divorce papers were right, I worried about the 'previous long-term/marriages and dates where when lived together bit' I worried about the fact I started a new job in January and my contract said 6 months probation on it (even though it is a permanent job) I worried about my name changing from my previous married name to my maiden name so some things had my previous name on, I worried about....well..everything  :-\\\\ It's not good.

But for the non priority it looks like folks are averaging 20 days or so, I think Ziptang was 23 days? Its a few days of worry but I am sure you will be fine. But I know nothing will stop that worry.  :-\\\\

I think we paid priority just because I am such a worrier really! Our finances have take a real hit though! :o

Take care and I shall keep an eye out for you! And send lots of white light and good vibes to the UKBA in NY!  :)

Hey PaulnTammy! Thanks :)
