wow reweigh, that was quick!  I sure do hope ours is that quick as well.  Been without my husband for 8 months now and are both going mad!  Just want our lives back.. so many conflicting stories of what people sent and what was still needed.. the package I sent in was 5# of documents and Im still scared to death that I forgot something or didnt do something right..  when are you planning on flying to the UK?

Just got notice our application is being processed .. dont know why i thought priority processing was within 10 business days, but according to the email its 15.. lord i wont have any hair left if I have to wait that long LOL

i worried myself silly after i had sent my packet in.  i felt like i had made a lot of really stupid mistakes on the applications and then i forgot to sign a form which i included for good measure.  everything turned out all right in the end though!  since you are using the settlement priority service, you'll probably hear back within another day ( if it even takes that long! ) that you were approved.  :)

my son and i are flying out on july 9th, hopefully.  still don't have EVERYTHING packed yet lol!

Settlement application (priority) was signed for by Blyth in mailroom of consulate Friday 6.17.11 @ 10AM.. still havent heard anything about it being opened.. this is gonna be days of constant checking email to see if there are any updates LOL  Who else on here is waiting at this point?  :o

When ever anyone told me to calm down because it would all work out, I didn't believe them (UkKitty can attest to this)!  But it is true!

I had the exact same issue as you.  Blythe in the mail room signed it and I never once got any e-mails.  It just showed up approved a week later.  I don't think Blythe does e-mails! Ha!  For me, it went like this:

  • 6th of June - Married!  :)
  • 8th of June - Biometrics enrolled
  • 9th of June - Priority service application mailed by UPS
  • 10th of June - Tracking service says it was signed at 10.25am by "Blythe in the mail room"
  • 17th of June - My documents were sent back with my passport inside!

I wish you the best of luck!  I'm sure it will work out fine!   ;)

xx

I just got a phone call from "Kelly" at the consulate who'd noticed I forgot to include my Sponsor's letter in my packet. I never thought we'd need one, as he resides here in the States with me. <slaps forehead>

She kindly asked if I could scan and email it right over to her, as she was going through my application at that moment. Of course I burned rubber getting home and having my husband sign it, then sent it off to her. Whew!

I'm just glad she called, rather than rejecting the application out of hand.

Hopefully I'll know something by today or tomorrow!  (we submitted my app via Priority Service on Thursday afternoon, they received it by Friday afternoon).

I GOT IT!!!!

Sorry for the excess of exclamation points!

Just in my email box: "Your UK visa has been issued."

YAY! I feel like sending "Kelly" a bouquet of flowers :)

Oh, and all of you here of course! I may not be the most vocal of posters here, but I've read this forum intensely since I first joined, and it's invaluable!

just curious, is there any reason why your application would be considered under different circumstances?  such as previous visa rejection or refusal of entry to the country?  priority processing could take up to fifteen business days anyway.  i'm sorry i can't be of much help as i'm, more or less, clueless about these things to begin with.   i hope you hear back with that beautiful "your visas have been issued" email soon!

That's me! We have a previous refusal because of mistakenly applying for FLR(M) on a visitor's visa (rookie mistake, we know now!).  We received the "further processing due to your case being identified as exceptional..." email on June 8th saying it would take 15 days from that email.  That takes us up to June 29th.  We're hoping that since we're straightforward in the other respect it won't be much longer now but i'll post on here when it goes through! Congrats to everyone who have had them goes through so far this week! x

nope :-\\\\ no refusals, visa rejections, criminal records, overstays, deportations, nothing! we married in the UK after the COA's were abolished, so so far thats the only thing i've come up with as to why it may be taking longer than everyone else's. but who knows! i guess we just have to wait and see.. onto business day 10!

Im sorry heyrere.. they recieved mine on friday the 17th.. they sent me the "hey we have your package and are processing" letter monday the 20th, and we are already climbing the walls..  I have read a few that had theres within 24 hours.. dont understand why some take longer when they are straight forward.. I know Im running to the computer every hour to see if I have mail from them, and Im scared to death to leave the house during business hours in fear they will call about something.. its a terrible feeling when someone else is in control of your life, so I can relate.. hopefully we will all get our approvals soon!

Congrats Scotland!   I have a question for people who have gotten theirs.. the initial email from them says how they have recieved it and its being processed.. the letter also states that we will be informed of the next step when it goes to an ECO for review... I havent heard of anyone recieving a second email stating that an ECO was now reviewing it... did anyone actually recieve the email that says that?

i didn't receive a second email.  it was just the processing notification and the one stating my visas had been approved.
