Marianne,

I'm sorry you're having to worry about this sort of thing now, after the fact. Maybe your ECO will simply phone you up and ask you to scan and email them the missing documents. This is what happened to me, when I mistakenly left out the sponsorship letter from my husband.

deep breaths!

Yes, as impossible as it is not to worry, there is no point at this stage...I thought I would be refused a million times over but wasn't. So good luck :)

Did you pay for priority?  If so, you might hear something quickly.  They received mine on a Tuesday and I got email saying "you've got visa" on the Friday the same week.

Lots of good vibes going your way and I'm sure youi'll be very very happy soon. 7 weeks to go until I go home!

We're still waiting, it totally sucks and depression is settling in for my part, just seems like an endless painful waiting game. Twice I've had to send stuff in that was missed and even had to send over my passport and birth certificate after listening to advice on here that you didn't need notorised copies. With being made redundant and having to find a job and settle again we've lost months and months. I'm just hoping there's no more complications......

On here, most people say to send a notorized copy (or copy and long form birth certificate), on other forums, they say you don't have to as they can "look you up on their computer system".

To play it safe, I sent in my husband's original.

well fluke every case is different, i guess much depends on the ECO officer thats in charge of your application, many cases have been approved only with regular copies... But its very good they asked you for further info instead of denying right away. I know is hard, i have even lost some weight cause the stress is taking over my whole life, plus having to deal with distance between me and my boyfriend, This whole thing seems a bit heartless sometimes. But hang in there...fingers crossed for you and for all of us that are still waiting, cause we all deserve to be with the ones we love.

none yet but today is day 15 so we're all waiting with bated breath!! It's everything i can do to keep my mother from driving down to the NY office and giving them a piece of her mind!! (mostly because she had booked a flight 3 months ago to come to stay with us with my grandmother, best friend and stepmother next week!) Thankfully my husband plays rugby with our local MP and he has said that if we don't hear tomorrow, his office can give a call! I'll be sure to post as soon as i know though, Scotland's situation has my hopes up! xx

not sure Caitlin...i'm wondering if it was because we used priority?? Another person on here, scotland had a similar situation to me and she got her's within 16 days...so it's possible?? I've been in the states now exactly one month! And Marianne, you're next!! xx
