I submitted my app on Sept. 9th, and did biometrics yesterday. I just posted it Next Day with UPS about an hour ago.

I keep going through my head everything I included, and am worrying I forgot something, or they won't approve it. I'm requesting ILE based on 7+ years of marriage and have taken the KOL, so I'm concerned they will take longer since it's such a specialty visa. I'm so stressed over it, I woke up with a cold sore this morning - my first in about 3 years.  :-\\\\

I hope everyone hears something shortly!

First post and Big Thanks to this very informative site. Sweated bullets for a while, figuring out the form, documents etc..

Got e-mail today Sept.14 that my spouse's visa (ILE) has been approved. Only 2 days from the notice that NYC consul opened it. Did NOT pay for priority, so this seems incredibly fast, but perhaps our case is easy. She lived in UK first as student then in workforce. BUT neither of us are working right now.
Been married and living in USA since  '99, but time to return. The ploughmans lunch beckons!

My visa is APPROVED!!!!!! I'm so relieved & excited, can't stop smiling. I didn't get an email or anything, it just showed up in the post today. My hands were shaking when I was flicking through all the pages and finally found the VISA.

Here's my timeline:

March/April 2011: Hubby visited me in the US
April 2011: Family visit visa granted
June-Sept 2011: visited hubby in the UK
Sept 2, Applied online
Sept 9, Biometrics appointment in NYC, purchased priority, USPS expressed to UK Consulate in NY, opted no weekend delivery.
Sept 10, USPS still attempted to delivery my package, notice left as Consulate was closed.
Sept 12, USPS delivered at 9 am, email of receipt @2:56pm NY time
Sept 15, PASSPORT ARRIVED IN THE POST WITH VISA.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

P/S: I'm a non-US citizen on F-1 visa.

Congrats bluegrass lass! So happy for you.

Sscarllet, you should keep an eye out for the post. Mine just showed up without any email, and when I checked the UPS tracking, it appeared that my package was ready for UPS to pick up on late Monday afternoon, which is the same day they received the application.

Great news bluegrass lass what a quick turnaround it seems with priority they are really rattling them off, I just hope ours is a quick but I know it will get more scrutiny than yours she is applying for a visit anyway so it might be as quick.

Have faith scarlet sure it will come soon x
