12/1 Application submitted online
12/2 Biometrics done
12/5 Sent application documents Fedex Overnight
12/6 Fedex tracking says that it got there at 2:40pm EST

I did not pay for priority.

Fingers crossed. Looks like 5 business days is about what its taking right now.

So here is my time line as far as my app for UK settlement goes:

11/14 Paid for visa app.
11/17 Did biometrics
11/17 Mailed app via fed ex next day service to NYC office
11/21 Received email that my package arrived.
11/21 Received 2nd email that my app required further processing up to 15 business days.

I have not yet heard anything back. I am so anxious and worried.
what can cause denial? Does denial mean I cannot ever travel to the UK?
All I want to do is live with and get married to my fiancee.
My plane ticket was for 11/30.

Help please!

I just received and email today saying my application was declined.
What are my options now.
My Docs should arrive by friday.
Is there anyone that has been declined then approved? What is the process?
My heart is broken.

You will receive a response explaining why the application was declined.  Once that has been received, if you'd like, post the details and perhaps you can get some insight from other posters.

Have you got confirmation from Fedx or similar company if so I wouldn't worry too much,  We have heard on here before of people not getting confirmation that the consulate has opened it.  We were also told we would get an email when the ECO was looking at it and we didn't love pads x

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your documents back?

I received the email with the UPS tracking # on Dec 7 and have been tracking the package since then...it states Next Day service...its been 3 business days and the tracking web page states it has not been picked up yet.

I called UPS they tell me to contact the sender...but you cannot contact the sender.
This is turmoil.

Please help!

I think you should have received them by now I think Webby said in another thread it was second day air.  You could try emailing the UKBA and see if they have sent them out when you get it post your refusal notice so people can help you love.

Love pads x

Hi Philly!

I just thought I would put in (hopefully) some encouraging words for you all as I've been through the process myself so I can DEF relate!! My whole process took 46 days to get done (and mine was a straight forward case!) and I never got any contact to even say they received a package until I got a e-mail saying I was approved and it did take a few more days than 2 to get my package back as well. So hang in there and keep hope!! I'll be praying that you get it soon!!  [smiley=hug.gif]
