Just letting everyone know that I'm finally here! We were able to get through immigration and customs in under 20 minutes!!!

Married in US January 2008
Husband applied for settlement visa Dec 2011
Denied visa Feb 2012 {we did not know you could not apply for visa whilst in England}
Online application to New York 19th March {from USA}
Biometrics 21st March
Email saying package was opened 23rd March
Waiting game begins....

Hi guys,

A long time lurker on this forum - though I would share the timeline for my wife's spouse application (she is a USC).

Online Application submited on 29-Mar-12
Biometrics appointment on 04-Apr-12
Docuements recieved by NY Consulate on 05-Apr-12 (Premium processing paid)
Visa confirmation email 11-Apr-12.

Very impressed with the turnaround time - would have been even quicker if it wasn't for the Easter break.  Our case was pretty much a 'vanilla' application, so glad it all went through ok  ;D

24 March Applied for Fiancee visa
5 April Biometric appt finished
9 April Sent application and supporting documents
11 April Recieved confirmation that it arrived safely in New York

Now just waiting and praying that I'll get accepted! Thank you everyone for your help!!!!

I'm worried, was I supposed to get an email from the British Consulate saying they got my app and supporting documents? I looked at the tracking confirmation on the USPS site and it did say it got delievered. >.<'

Did it give a date to which it was delivered? It might have delivered after hours or something. I dunno

I don't think everyone gets an e-mail saying the documents have been received.
