23 April - Online Application
26 April - Biometrics, sent documents (priority paid)
27 April - Email saying they received it
2 May - Email saying visa approved!

We're so totally elated right now. I'm celebrating with a delicious meal tonight. Thanks to everyone who helped us through this.

Hang in there, everyone still waiting! I'm sending good vibes your way. :D

Congratulations Kateb!

Hope not! Try not to worry too much. 10th April was our received date. There a few of us here who have been waiting a while also - Hopefully that means they're just a little busier than usual at the moment!

I am also applied for my 8 year old son. I am sure that means it will take longer! Guess when I see others being approved so quickly I cant help the worry bug from popping up! We have just been waiting so long to get to this point just want the answer so we can get our flights booked and finally have our family together! Thank you! I am going to try by best not to worry...as much! hehehehe  ;D

Yes there are a few here who have been waiting for a while, i am pulling my hair out in frustration quite often. It is very hard to go through this, but there isn't a lot we can do about it but wait. I just want to quote an old saying......

"For everything there is a reason, and there is a reason for everything"
Met May 2006
Married in US January 2008
Husband applied for settlement visa Dec 2011
Denied visa Feb 2012 {we did not know you could not apply for visa whilst in England}
Online application to New York 19th March {from USA}
Biometrics 21st March
Email saying package was opened 23rd March
Waiting game begins....

Got word from the UK border agency on Friday May 4th. They wanted more info on my son. They want proof that I have sole custody or his biological father is ok with him moving to the UK. His father has never been in his life and I have Florida law on my side stating that when a child is born out of wedlock the mother has all rights unless the father has a judge give him rights! Sent the proof in today, so hopefully this mean my visa is approved and soon my son's will be too!  ;D

Ok, time for me to finally join the club here, lol.

May 11th online application submitted
May 15th biometrics done
May 15th application sent with priority processing to NY

I cried all the way back from the Fed Ex office....not sure if it was from relief or worry or simply an overflow of the stress, etc.

Now I wait. And while I do, I am going to send out nothing but positivity and believe that it will be approved!!

Online application: 18th April
Biometrics: 24th April
Docs sent to NY (non-priority) 24th April
Email to say opened: 7th May

Nothing since. UKBA Website currently quoting 12 days. Not sure if that is working days but have a feeling it will be. Kicking ourselves for not doing priority. Could all be over by now.....

Hi Guys,

I've already posted in the other threads about my approval (yay) but thought I'd officially post here my timeline for reference.

May 11th Submitted Online Application
May 15th Biometrics Taken And Mailed Docs To NY Consulate
May 16th Received Email Stating Docs Received
May 18th UK Visa Issued!!!

I must say I am very happy with the turnaround time. The priority fee was worth every single penny!!  ;D
