Husband applied for settlement visa Dec 2011
Denied visa Feb 2012 {we did not know you could not apply for visa whilst in England}
Online application to New York 19th March {from USA}
Biometrics 21st March
Email saying package was opened 23rd March
Waiting game begins....

Went to biometrics today ...sending everything out Friday afternoon priority .... fingers crossed!!!

Is it just me or does everyone feel like they could say no even though you know you provide everything they want and meet all the qualifications....I'm nervous beyond belief!!

  I MADE MINE THREE WEEKS AGO AND I NEVER HEARD FROM THE HOMEOFFICE TILL THEN. BUT I GOT A FRIEND WHO MARRIED HERE AND WENT BACK TO PH AND APPLY THERE NOW SHE GOT HER VISA FOR JUST 2 WEEKS. HOW I WISH HOMEOFFICE WILL INTOUCH WITH ME SO SOON.

Do they send out confirmation emails to everyone?  I know my package was received because UPS told me it was delivered, but nothing from UKBA??

Try not to worry too much katmatutat (I know...much easier said than done!)
They are probably just seeing your package today if you mailed it on the 25th because of the Monday holiday. Remember...lots of deep breaths!!

I think it's cruel that they don't give you updates while you are waiting, we are now on day 43 and all we have had is the initial "we have receieved your application" email, we can't contact Worldbridge untill after the 24 weeks have passed, so all we have to do is wait.
 Common sense tells us that they have no reason to refuse my husbands application, but in my opinion, the silence on top of the waiting is a cruel thing to put people through.

I did receive an email last week telling me there would be an additional 15 working days wait from that point. But I guess they notified me because it was supposed to be a priority application. I completely agree about the lack of communication, it makes you think about all sorts of things!
