UK Visa Settlement Processing Time

Hi All

Does anyone know how many days it should take to get the confirmation email from the Consulate in New York when an application is being sent from South America?

Its been 6 workings days now and no email has been received.  The processing times from the UKBA website for this particular country state that all decisions were made in less than 6 working days so I am worried something has maybe gone wrong in the process.

Surely it does not take 6 days to take a short trip to the USA by courier?

Hope someone maybe have some information on this.

From what I know, they don't always send a confirmation email. Doesn't mean they don't have it though! If I were you, I'd track it through the delivery service I used.

yes it was quick......i never expected an answer so quickly.......i submitted to NY.......now im just so excited and im trying not to tell people until i can get ahold of my husband but its hard not to..........legs are ready to jump up and down........thank you guys for all the well wishes
