OMG me and my wife are so happy. We've just received the approval email from the consulate and all good news. The Visa will be delivered tomorrow.

Congratulations!

I applied to the NY consulate as well. I am wishing all of you, especially nickiboo and mrscolgan that you receive your visas soon! I'll start being hopeful once you get them :) The student visas honestly really should be done by now...if the priority service is so quick, then obviously background checks and going over documnets is quick and easy enough, so I doubt all of us have issues or possibilities of being denied. Let's hope this week is the lucky week :) Though I bet we'll be saying it next week too ;)

Hi Jlstorer, looks like you are in the same boat as mrscolgan and I! Nice to have you on board! We are all waiting 39 days plus! If one of us hears something soon, then it will all give us some hope!!

Well today has been busy.... I can't believe how quick the priorities got done and still nothing from any of us. I think someone who has waited 40 days should be considered more of a priority than someone who has waited 3 even with the service. I know that sounds bad but well there is priority then there is priority.

I totally agree Dukespecial! I am now going on processing day 43 and going somewhat crazy lol!!! Just shows us that the consulate considers us non-priorites to be the very bottom of of the barrel. Funny how the priority option was not even advertised properly! It is unfair, but there is nothing we can do other than wait! And the waiting continues...

Thank you all so much for posting your progress here.  I'm applying in a few months and it looks like I'll DEFINITELY work a few more weekends if needed to come up with the Priority funds.  It's just too much stress waiting. :(

Fingers crossed for all of you.

I honestly do not know how you have kept sane, we are starting to lose it now. Especially hearing nothing yesterday, I mean anyone getting their visa would have been nice! If I worked for the consulate I would probably be rubbish as I would feel bad for making people wait too long and do theirs first. Now I am saying today is NOT going to be the day, reverse psychology et all that jazz.

this is deeply uncharitable of me, but I'm finding it harder and harder to feel happy for people who paid for priority.  Every time I see someone go through on 2 days processing time, all I can think is "That's my wife's space they took".

It doesn't help matters that if I had known how long the wait was going to be, I'd definitely have bought priority too.

I'm over in England.  I haven't seen my wife in 75 days.  Our application has been processing for 35 of those days.

It's getting harder to remain hopeful.

Darn and here was me thinking reverse psychology would work!

Lamuella I think it is natural to think that, how can you not. I mean yes it is good they don't have to go through it but there is always that thought that they just cost you another day.

Just out of interest what consulate are you with?

New York.  I'm Angelchrome's husband, I think she's posted in this thread before.

(by the way, we're both really rooting for you to get approved ASAP because we're just a little behind you)

Aha I see, you just made me recount how many days since we got the email and it has actually been 35 too! So when one of us hears the other is bound too, I am still certain we will hear by the end of the week : )

Hi Lamuella,  I feel your pain. I havent seen my partner in a 100 days plus!!! I am currently on day 43 of processing.  It is an aweful wait considering for the past 5 years, my partner and I havent been apart for more than a week!  What makes matters worse is he cannot visit me due to business constraints. I am somewhat done with being hopeful for an answer. I just keep telling myself, when it is my turn, then I will receive an answer. Thank GOD for my family in the US. I dont know what I would do with myself if it werent for them.

I am ready to get on with my life! One of us needs to hear something very soon so I can be hopeful again  ;)
