Ok got it, I was doing it wrong obviously.I was filing under settlement. Thanks so much. I will refill the whole thing now.

What do you think we should write on that letter btw?
The letter is very simple and I've emphasised it below:

Quote
What supporting documents should my family members include with their application?

They should include all the documents they can to show that they qualify for an EEA family permit.

As a guide they should include:

**a copy of your EEA national passport (endorsed by your embassy in the country of application); and
**proof of their relationship to you (for example, their birth certificates or marriage certificate); and
**a letter from you declaring that you are travelling with them or that they are joining you in the UK.

Once you reach the end of the application it will open the biometrics appointment system, which will list the nearest Application Support Center operated by the NSCIS (US Department of Homeland Security) to your zip code, you can either book an appointment at that center or chose a different center that may have an earlier appointment available. Just remember that once you do your biometrics, you only have 14 calendar days to get your documents to the Consulate for processing. The only thing you need to take to the Bios center is your appointment sheet & your passport.

Thanks so much

Another five hour wait till the start of the working day. I don't expect to hear anything today though, I am now betting on a Tuesday next week. Anybody else got guesses as to how much longer is left?!

I have a feeling it will be another 1-2 weeks for me!  The current processing time is 12 weeks (60 business days). I am now on day 45!! I never saw that coming.  I am happy that my wait is almost over! I cannot wait til this is all over with!

What makes you think it will be the full twelve weeks? If it was that for us I would die or go crazy, whichever came first!

Then again saying that in two weeks you will almost be at that and I hope ours will be in the next two weeks too. We just want to book the flights!

Hi Dukespecial,

I pray that it will not be the full 12 weeks!!!! I cannot wait to see my partner, and yes, I want to book my flight too!!!!  I just feel that the NY consulate is very backed up with other non-settlement applications (they are still sorting out student visas), and with the Chicago consulate closing, there are most likely to be major changes in the NY consulate; to me this most likely indicates consulate can leave us settlement visas hanging until 12 weeks while they sort out their deficiencies.  I could be totally wrong, but it is just an educated guess. What do you think?

P.S. I used to be be optimistic but after week 7, it all went down hill from there...

Well,
I've been waiting for this day for a while... my biometrics are scheduled for 2pm today.  I am going to fill out the priority processing in the VERY near future, and then from there, it's go time.  I've spent countless hours compiling supporting documents, everything from bank statements to travel receipts to itineraries from the ships I worked on, and now, I get to send it all in, and I become another person who posts on this board and waits for his application to come back [hopefully] soon.

Wish me luck guys and gals :-)

Every day we hope to see you with a huge message saying you got approved! It is so funny to think when we started this process we thought it would be okay as the current ones were being done it 15 days, ah good old hindsight. I would hope after processing nearly two thousand student visas they are all done on that front but yes I do think that they will also be backed up on the other ones so just trying to balance the workload. I think considering we have had a full week of hearing nothing then hopefully it means they have been hard at work on those visa categories and settlement will get some serious attention next week.

I am refusing to get too down over it and am definitely going with the early next week idea : )
