Today is my lucky day  ;D  ;D  ;D

I received my visa today at 12:30pm!!!!! I am super happy! I think I may have waited the longest out of everyone on here. I had a previous refusal and was granted my settlement visa for an unmarried partner after 47 days of processing from the NY consulate!!!! Keep your hopes up even if you wait longer than 45 days!

Thank you everyone for your support. A huge wait has been lifted off my shoulders  :D

CONGRATS Nickiboo!!!  Yesterday was MY LUCKY DAY TOO!  I received my approval emails for my daughter and me at 12:15.  The emails actually went to my spam folder and I didn't check that until around 4pm.  YAY!!!

WOW you do have a lot to do!  Have a safe flight :).  I'm planning on flying over in 2.5 weeks.  My fiancee is here with me until the 11th and then I have to put in a week notice at my job and then finish going through things and deciding what to take and what to leave!  fun fun...but atleast its all down hill from here!!

Congrats to all...
I am still waiting for that email confirming receipt from the consulate.

Four pounds: wow. I thought i was sending a lot of crap. I was missing my wife's august pay stub, but i submitted June, July, september originals and a printout of august, besides, they will see the deposit on her bank statement anyways.
Fun times. Day three and hearing nothing is making me scared

did you include a photocopy of everything? i think that's why my binder weighs so much... it kind of scares me, maybe i'm overdoing it and they're going to look at my binder and hate me!!!  :-\\\\

Definitely didn't photocopy anything. Originals were provided. The only thing i wouldn't want to part with in there is my passport because of all the stamps (everywhere from Iceland to Singapore) in it. And one way or another I'll get that back. Everything else i have copies of or is re-obtainable.

hmmmm i thought i had read somewhere to include all of your paperwork, and then a photocopy of it behind it.... maybe i'm wrong?  ??? i would like not to since it's doubled the weight of my package, but if it will speed up the process for the consulate i'll deal with it. any thoughts?

Honestly, for the $1300 I am giving them, I would thing they can afford a decent copy machine. They run pretty cheap these days don't they?

I've never seen anything about submitting copies.

Yeah FP's are a piece of cake, 3 requirements & that's it. Passports, marriage certificate & a letter from the EU citizen stating that you're accommpaning you to the UK.

Simples..

Congrats again.
