I guess I am lucky because DH's main (everyday) luxury - he likes his food (and drink - or is that me?  ).  I can't get the man to buy a new pair of shoes or new clothing to save my life.  He doesn't care about cars or any kind of flash items really.

I wish mine were like that. Mine is addicted to gadgets, which can be very expensive indeed. Lucky I have final say on all financial matters, as I am the voice of reason in our house!

But on that note, I'd keep the internet, even if I had to cut / reduce things in other areas, as the internet as long as I was able, as it is the main information source and access to things these days.

Me too. It's my lifeline to my family in the US.  And I'm horribly addicted.

T'internet seems like an essential in most Western countries these days. Information is power and all.
