Just for Fun...US Citizenship Quiz
« on: August 16, 2010, 12:32:56 PM »
Since alot of us have taken the LiUK test and remarked at our other half's (in)abilities  ;) to answer many of the questions correctly I thought it would be fun to try this with the US Citizenship Quiz. Feel free to take the quiz (I did Quiz 2 with 96 questions) and post your results as well!.

Here's the Quiz: http://www.history.com/shows/classroom/interactives/citizenship-quiz

I scored 84/96 for 87%.

92 out of 96, 95% (though one of the missed ones was a misclick rather than not knowing the answer). My high school government teacher would be happy I still remembered so much!
Arrived as student 9/2003; Renewed student visa 9/2006; Applied for HSMP approval 1/2008; HSMP approved 3/2008; Tier 1 General FLR received 4/2008; FLR(M) Unmarried partner approved (in-person) 27/8/2009; ILR granted at in-person PEO appointment 1/8/2011; Applied for citizenship at Edinburgh NCS 31/10/2011; Citizenship approval received 4/2/2012
FINALLY A CITIZEN! 29/2/2012

I had the same score as you Weby!  I think I read some the the questions too quickly.   :)

But at least they were things that you could make a guess at, unlike some of the UK ones.

92/96 for me too.

But, unless the US citizenship test has changed drastically since I took it (which could very well be the case), this is MUCH tougher than I remember it! I was asked to name the President, my two senators, my representative and then asked what the Bill of Rights was. That was it. It took all of 5 minutes.

The test was re-vamped in 2008 and the questions in this Quiz were taken from the actual exams.

77/96 so 80%

I was having so much trouble remembering things relating to Representatives and Senators! Yikes! :P

Well I guess it's good to know that I would have passed just fine in 2008 as well.

91% for me!

I think there should be questions like "How many hot dogs are in a pack?" and then "What is a s'more?"  Much more american.  :P

I got a 90%....due in no small part to remembering "School House Rock" for some of the questions!  :-)

I agree...definitely should have questions like that on it.   ;)

85% for me!  Pretty proud considering how long it's been since I've been in high school.   :)

I got 100%, but I took the shorter version by accident before I saw the longer version, so there was a bit of overlap with some of the questions...

97%, but to be honest, that should be slightly lower as the computer froze up the first time I took it.  I think I had one or two wrong at that point, so I am thinking low 90s.
