That sounds sensible Jimbo. Whether you're there or not, she'll get up to stuff. Better to have her safe.
My folks were always like that, "Call me if you've been drinking or doing drugs, we'll pick you up" kind of stuff. And my Dad always did.   No one in trouble, even if they did grumble about 3 am calls.

It really is the most responsible way combined with  modelling behaviour.  In other words, if you guys go out, ensure whoever is driving has ZERO alcohol.  That way she won’t think it’s okay to drive after having a drink.

A colleague has to buy her 17 year old low alcohol wine in secret, as her dad would hit the roof.  But she knows her daughter is going to drink.  She likes being able to control the type and volume.  Makes sense!

I hope drinking and driving isn't such a big deal here as none of her friends are driving.  NONE.  Not like when we were 16 and trying to drink.  How many keg parties have I been to where the cops showed up and made everyone leave, mostly by driving away.

Look what I got!

It's really nice.  It's a porter but still has that distinct steam taste.

What do you guys think?

That looks great Jimbo!

Here's a picture of my homebrewed Pale Ale, all ready now. 4.6% and very drinkable.

OH was in Yorkshire recently and took a trip to one of my favourite breweries, Abbeydale.  He came over last night, bearing a gift of a 6-pack of Abbeydale Birdhouse Tea beer -- made with green tea, jasmine & hibiscus.  Pinkish in colour, unfined andwonderfully bitter and quenching... i loved it!

Those beers look lovely and congrats xkod for moving in.

I went to a national trust place today where they were pressing apples.  Yum!

Bought some beer from a brewery that was there, making a big deal out of their American hops.  Those hops made it taste like bad Budweiser!  I could barely keep a straight face after drinking that p88sswater.  Nonetheless, I was embarrassed that she let me try all the different beers so I bought some cider.
