Future expat from the southern US
« on: August 23, 2010, 05:32:04 PM »
(waves)

Planning to relocate to the Midlands/Northern UK in a few years with my better half, who is a British citizen. Considering how to make myself more marketable without completely hating my job.

Would love to get input on veterinary/animal care/wildlife industries in the UK. Have several years' horticulture/gardening experience. Amateur digger; also looking at learning geophysics to get in on field archaeology as an option. Actually fond of cool, rainy weather, and have really enjoyed visiting the West Midlands, Yorkshire, and Wales so far.

LOL - tiny planet! We do Georgia Renaissance Faire every year and I could spend days in that fabulous aquarium!

Thanks! Wulfrun's town is a good place for fossils according to a buddy. Do you do any digging?

Well, the only digging we do is the kids looking for worms or my 7 yr old son using his metal detector and finding .50p pieces.  ;) ;D

Thanx! That's what happens when you've got a cold and gone without real sleep for 3 days, and start thinking "what if Baldric from Blackadder and Jeff Foxworthy were in a bar . . . "
