Insurance claims that aren't claims?
« on: August 27, 2010, 06:50:24 PM »
I have a question for anyone who has used their US No Claim record in the UK to support lower rates. I got a C.L.U.E. report of my claims history and it shows two claims. The problem is in both of those cases I was hit by someone else who was responsible, and the claim to my company was just me reporting the accident to them. One claim is listed as Withdrawn and the other as Closed, and neither has any dollar value associated with it. Will this still support my claim of having 7 years of No Claim?

I have this problem as well and from what I understood from the company that insured me...for some reason, they will still count it and you won't get the "no claims" bonus. Totally annoying. Maybe someone else has a different experience though, that's just what I've been told by the insurance companies I rang up.
