<hijack>

Tebs, my wedding photographer (who has since become a friend) posted this on Facebook yesterday. I thought you'd enjoy it! :)

<hijack over>

Yeah, have seen it,, I felt bad for the guy, he was lucky not to get hurt, but then again, I was mortified that he was that far down the aisle to start with, walking backward.  I don't trust myself to walk backward, and don't see any reason to have to do that at all.

Have you seen the video going around with the Russians? It's faked, but still funny. Russian photographer and videographer fighting,, and smashing their cameras. Apparently it was all done by the same studio, who were about to toss out that old gear, but thought it would be funny to video a fake fight, lol.

Love, love, love that website with the vintage fabric, it's going to cost me. I have been looking for some fun stuff for a 'tea party' photo shoot, this stuff ticks the box, thanks for posting it!

I love the Record with Sleeve!  The Happily Ever After is also very cute, but the record just fits in with your wedding so well. Have you contacted the HEA card-maker about bulk-rates and the possibility of printing it as an invitation? I think the Addition one is cute, as well, but just seems too ordinary for your wedding.  I like the idea of the tea towel but I'm not sold on any of the designs they have.

If I hadn't seen the Rw/S invite first, the two Scratch-off ones would be nice and they are more affordable (I think? I just glanced quickly at the pricing) so if money is/becomes an issue I'd say they're wonderful and if money isn't an issue than go with the Record w/ Sleeve.

The Rw/S is pricey, but as it's our first kind of thing most people will see of the wedding I'm happy to pay for it to be right, it's really the only thing I've seen so far that I've loved. Although it would be nice to get away with something cheaper  ;D

Because our wedding is in a bunker, they normally put up signs on those cute clear plinths outside, so I was thinking this would look cool to do that as well - http://www.etsy.com/listing/57676044/record-player-wedding-poster

Also I'm getting a big bumper pack of these buttons for my guests as I really loved them - http://www.etsy.com/listing/57994029/i-can-haz-button-pack-includes-3-buttons

ack, I'm all about the details, but I need to like...get a dress :D

Those posters are adorable  :D If you do those then the (cheaper) record player invites and camera save-the-dates match better than the Rw/S.

Am distracting my "in a terrible bad mood" self with wedding porn :D

Record with sleeves invite samples arrived today! We both really love them, but...there isn't much space on them at all, so we're thinking of asking her to add a liner note, or something we can use as an RSVP.

On a completely separate note, I am totally in love with this cake -

I'm pretty sure I could recreate it, but do I want the stress? Should I just order my cupcakes from crumbs and dollies as planned? http://www.crumbsanddoilies.co.uk/

I like fun decisions much better :D

Also, my mother's been badgering about dresses and I'm getting into the idea of whirling turban, my mother called them yesterday (they're an indonesian company, how weird!) and badgered them into a discount by talking in sundanese to them :P

This is the one I like -

Don't make your own cake - you will stress too much with so much other stuff - let someone deal with it ;-)

The Dress is so darn puuurty! I absolutely love it!

How many people do you know who can't use internet/email? Seriously, don't do a postal RSVP - Google Docs makes it REALLY freaking easy to make online RSVPs, so you just have to print your wedding URL on your paper invites and be done with it. And you can change and update the info online as much as you want without paying by the letter. Or if you want to think of it from your guests' point of view - it's waaaay less hassle to fill out a form online than remember to take something out to the post office (and how do you put US stamps on the ones going out to people in the States to RSVP?). Seriously consider going the online route - less hassle, less cost, and you can be as wordy as you like.

Having eaten their cupcakes, yeah go with them! Cake baking is something you can't do far in advance (without having some enormous freezer), and do you really want to be fussing with that the day before your wedding? And their wedding prices online weren't far off what we paid, either.

My $.02
A) I like SP's idea of an online RSVP.  Do you guys have a website for the wedding? Anyway, send out the physical invites with the URL and then send everyone an email so they don't even have to type it in  [smiley=smart.gif]
B) Don't make your own cake. You can ask the cupcake place if they can do cherry blossoms across the cupcakes though :D
C) That is an amazing dress. Wow.

So now it's 2011 wedding planning has ramped up a gear, zomg.
I've booked my family into a hotel (the St.James Crowne Plaza) and I'm booking university summer accommodation for my friends.

As so many people will not be from London and they're all staying the night, I was thinking of having a post wedding brunch on the Sunday (people would pay for themselves).
Would people be up for this do you think (it would be non compulsory!) or just wanting to sleep off hangovers?

I'm thinking of having it here -

Will you be up for it? I think you can say hey we were thinking of meeting everyone for brunch, let us know if you want to come so you can plan.  I would think you would want to see as much as your non-in town guests as you can.  It can't hurt if you want to do it.

I think it's really nice to have something the day after the wedding. We had a beach barbecue on the Sunday evening for the same reason - lots of out-of-town (or country) guests who were staying the weekend. I printed a letter for each guest which I had waiting for them in their hotel rooms, B&Bs, etc. (along with chocolates!) in which I mentioned the barbecue and said that anyone who wanted to come along was welcome to. We provided salad, bread, condiments, dessert, etc. and told people to bring their own meat & booze.

As for being up for it, I was out car-booting with friends at 7am the morning after our wedding!  ;D
