I like Lovejoy a lot (being in East Anglia and all) and the secretary (an older very cool cheeky lady) where I once worked had a great Lovejoy-related story. The first episode was partially filmed on a small boat which happened to belong to her good friend. He tipped her off about the shoot and she showed up at the marina to see the goings on and met Ian McShane, who she described as the most conceited a$$ she had ever met. He was horrible she said.

So years later she is at some party and runs into Ian McShane whose career has come off the boil quite a bit at this point. Being very direct (and she is) she says to him, "Mr. McShane you are a horrible person!" And he goes completely red and admits it all, saying that when he was young he was completely full of himself. She said he couldn't have been nicer and in fact took her and her friend out to dinner.

That's funny!  :D

I just can't get into Hustle. One of my former roommates used to TiVo it and I couldn't get into it then and I sat down over the summer and tried to watch it again and couldn't get into it. I love the US spin-off, Leverage though. Other than the ramped up cheese-factor, I don't know why Leverage works for me but Hustle doesn't  :-\\\\

Loving Mad Dogs!  :D Anyone else watching?

ETA: Also watching Bedlam, which isn't that great, but wow, that guy on there makes it so worthwhile, it's like he just stepped off an aftershave ad or something... lol.  :P ;D

I've been watching it and like it as well.  The first episode was a little disapointing, but I really liked the second and am looking forward to the third (we recorded it).

I loved The Killing:D  It's really Danish I guess, but it aired here in the UK.

Apparently the US is doing a remake instead...because Americans can't read subtitles?

We loved it. I read a review of the American version, started last week on AMC. They've changed somethings.....apparently the murderer and motive is different....which will at least make it watchable when it comes here.

We have the same thing here though regarding subtitles which is why it was shoved away on BBC4. We've recommended the Danish version to my American brother-in-law as he rents a lot of foreign language films from Netflix.
