Baskin Robbins at Morrison's
« on: October 18, 2010, 09:34:12 AM »
Apologies if people have already seen/found it, but I rarely go to Morrison's so it was news to me!  :)

I can't remember exactly which flavours they had, but I do recall seeing Mint Choc Chip and Cookies & Cream

I don't shop at Morrisons either so it's news to me.  Thanks!

I got some and it wasn't good...sorry. It had a waxy consistancy and for the price, it was not a quality ice cream!!

We have an actual BRs shop in Westfield Derby, it's in the same place as Millie's Cookies...I've been a good girl and not succumbed to temptation in the 3 years that it's been open...so far  ;)

I knew there were quite a few Baskin Robbins shops around (though not near me), but I hadn't seen it in supermarkets before.

There's a BR by me on Baker Street and one night we broke down and got a pint for later, rather than cones.  We thought the quality was way off, too.  At the time, I wondered if it was just a dud batch, but this makes me wonder.  Despite the fact that it's 3 blocks away, I've not gone back (okay, the prices at the scoop shop are totally insane, too).

That's a pity.  :(

I got a pint of the mint chocolate chip a month or so back, and it only just got finished last week when I was desperate. for the price I'd rather have Green and Black's.

I've also never succumbed to the shop (we have 2 in Vicky Centre I think) I'd want a milkshake, but know it would be made wrong...

A few years ago, we used to have Baskin Robbins ice cream available as part of the Millie's Cookies shops in Bristol (between about 5 and 10 years ago), but it looks like they've phased out the Baskin Robbins now and are just selling cookies and shakes there :(.

Thanks for the quality warning folks. I think I'd rather miss BR and just get it as a treat when in America and go for local quality while I'm here.

Whole new world for a Southern gardener, but I'm very happy.
