Ohio to UK

Hello! I just married an englishman and I am planning on moving to the UK in the near future. We just got married a couple weeks ago but have been dating over a year. We are in the beginning stages of me getting a marriage visa (after I get my name changed over here) and any advice would be very helpful!

04 June 09 Met now DH in a bar in Georgia
13 July 09 First trip to Scotland (3 months)
1 March 10 Second trip to Scotland (6 months)
7 Oct 10 Got married!
29 Nov 10 Biometric appt and sent app to NY priority service
2 Dec 10 Per USPS tracking delivered in NY
8 Dec 10 E-mail from NY they are processing it
9 Dec 10 Got Email Visa was approved!
10 Dec 10 Got Visa in the mail
12 Dec 10 Going home!!

Welcome to UKY and congrats on your marriage.

Any specific visa questions should probably be posted in the Visas section - you're more likely to get a response there.  ;)

Welcome! I just went through the whole process and had my Visa approved so I'll be happy to help out as much as I can! Nice to see someone else from Ohio!  :)

13 Oct 10 Biometrics completed, Priority Service paid, sent Next Day to NY
14 Oct 10 Received conformation email
15 Oct 10 @ 11:11am Visa APPROVED!!!
09 Nov 10 Going home!!!

I am from Miamisburg (or what I like to call Miseryburg! lol) I grew up there then moved around to Kettering, Centerville and Fairborn. I'm staying with a friend in West Chester atm.

Welcome to UKY Katie...ask any questions you have, we've all been there and done that (well most of us) and some of us (like myself) have done it a couple times and when are a glutton for punishment we go the US Visa route as well (in the middle of it at the mo myself) so there's always one of us about to answer any questions you may have.

Hello and thank you! I'm just stressing about his bank statements not looking so good right now is all and I'm not sure what to do about it.

I grew up on the westside of Cleveland (North Olmsted, to be exact)

I just moved to the U.K. in August. Things are going well so far :)
