That. is. so. wrong.  ;D

Must have the real thing, I'm afraid!  ;)

This thread is making me hungry.

I think I had too much Mrs. Butterworth's as a child. The real stuff tastes weird to me. I enjoy American Pancake Syrup regularly. My husband hates it. He gets a bottle of real Canadian stuff when we fly through Toronto.

I'm the same! Only real Vermont or Canadian maple syrup will do for me!  Has to be Class A and 100% pure stuff. I don't buy the pre-made waffles here, I just eat Warburtons Crumpets with butter and maple syrup and it's a bit like a waffle and very tasty.  ;)

I'm fake maple syrup all the way. I know, I know.... I've tried the real stuff, the expensive stuff, but I just don't like it. What can I say, I like my Log Cabin!  ;D

My favourite is that butter pecan flavoured syrup!  It's probably fake - but butter pecan syrup all the way for me.  :)

I like real maple too though, and fake maple too.

I'm a syrup whore I think.

I guess I'm a "syrup whore" too then. ;) Because I like the real stuff, but oh do I love that fake syrup! yum!

I was so happy to find the fake stuff at Costco.  :-[

This is mostly me. I'm ok with the real, 'good' stuff, but frankly prefer the other stuff. I find real maple syrup too runny but admit some of the fake ones are pretty bad. I'm a syrup whore, but a picky one! ;D
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I'm picky about my fake maple. I definitely don't like Mrs Butterworth's. I don't do store brands. The Lyle's Maple-Flavoured Syrup is okay. Log Cabin is my favorite!

If the packaged waffles are anything like the "syrup pancakes" we bought at Tesco awhile back, during a particularly rough homesick-y day, you might be disappointed.

Oddly, they tasted like Trader Joe's crumpets with a hint of sweet. DH claims they're exactly like Mcdonalds Mcgriddle buns. *shrug*

I'm more of a crispy waffle fan myself, so I probably wouldn't be satisfied by anything not made in a proper waffle iron. (Tho, I would kill for a frozen Eggo just about now...)

I love the butter pecan syrup from IHOP!
When I was young we would get Mrs Butterworths or log cabin as a treat.  We usually had Karo.
