WHAT WHAT WHAT? When did this happen?? Noooooo!
Their macaroons were mindblowing! My friends brought them to me in hospital to cheer me up. We'd buy sixpacks on a whim. They had flavours and colours and pearlised finishes I've never seen anywhere else. They were like the Heston Blumenthal of macaroons.
CB, you've just ruined both my and my husband's day. *sob*
Edit: oh god, they're still listed on their menu, too!
About a month ago is when I noticed

They still serve them for desert but wouldn't let me buy a six pack, they're also phasing out their handmade deserts (peanut sesame balls!

) and that menu is now ice cream heavy and all the best patisserie is gone, which is really the only freaking reason to go to Yauatcha as their Dim Sum is overpriced/hyped.
If you're outside of london then
http://www.bougie.co.uk/Bougie do a mail order service for macarons and they're pretty good, I need to make a pilgrimage to try the liquorice seasonal ones.
I agree with everything said about sea-salted caramels! I love L'artisan du chocolat's sea salt caramels so much i'm having them at my wedding, perfect chocolate shell filled with liquid sea salt caramel - lush! The sauce itself is gorgeous
