Yup- its started- (not counting the mountains- that started ages ago)

Had a nice frosty walk home in the falling snow.  Supposed to be a cold, snowy winter! Not really sticking yet at least!

Ooh, yay, my basic weather forecast for today was correct :P! Yesterday afternoon we did some real-time analysis of weather data and we determined that today the showers over the north-east would continue and possibly bring snow showers in Scotland/North East England :).

The cold temperatures are probably going to continue for at least a few more days and there's the possibility of more snow too. We've got arctic air coming down from the north and there's a blocking feature high up in the atmosphere which is preventing the air from moving away... it could stay for a few days, or it could be even longer. The Met Office have severe weather warnings out for Northern Scotland and North East England until 11am tomorrow... Icy Roads and Drifting Snow.

Well done!  Except I don't like this forecast - how about another for sunny, beach weather?  :)

We only had a few flakes falling here (so far) & then it stopped.  But gosh it's cold!

Well didn't last too long here yesterday, thank goodness- though our forecast (thanks ksand, we will all blame you for the weather now!!!   ;) :P ;) :P) looks a bit ominous over the next few days. Yeap, its winter!

How's everyone faring today?
Some areas are really quite slammed- we just started to get our sticking onto the ground snow last night- still not too bad so far anyways....
