My timing is all wrong!

I've been wanting to got to the Lincoln Christmas Market for 5 years and when I finally get around to booking the train tickets, it dumped snow. Now I hear it is cancelled.

Oh well, going to try and visit my friends anyway!

Wow, it's amazing all those snow reports. We've had it really easy. No real snow since last weekend!

OK, we had a break in the snow overnight, but when I got up this morning (at 7.30 ty to my daughter who slept until 8.30!!!!) it was starting again and been going full force since...forecast is for another 2-3 inches today which would make 10-11 inches here since Thursday.

We've finally got some in the south!  DH and I are both home today.  We had a nice long walk on our local stone age hill fort, and now I think it's time for some hot chocolate!

We've got 26 inches in our garden (measured with a ruler as I'm completely useless with guessing).
Holy crap! That's eve more than we got in the Groundhog Day blizzard a few years ago.

We've only got 2-3 inches here in central London. So I've got to continue walking to work as per always (though I switched to my super-super warm "Russian greatcoat" I made a few years ago that's got a hidden microfleece layer under the wool coating to stop the wind. And I made the pocket go under that so my hands are toasty, too. :)

Good idea! Never found a very warm British-made (or marketed) coat, except for a sheepskin.

Sounds warm and perfect for this weather!  You may have some clients here in Yorkshire for those coats!  :D

After a mostly clear, sunny & very cold day  [smiley=elf.gif], we have a few flakes floating lazily down again now...

And from the Dales, pretty to look at:

(Ok it was gorgeous earlier with the sun beaming down upon it!)

We woke up to snow this morning-the girls are off school and MrRed5 is working from home.  The 7 year old wanted to spend all day outside and build an igloo, the 9 year old was quite content to stay in the warm.

Any real snow in Cambridge?  Of course I love snow and then this happens, but if there is no snow in Cambridge at least I wouldn't be stuck grumpily listening to all the snow everyone else in the UK is getting.

We did get about 2 inches on Thanksgiving.

Did you find the 'spade' for him to start 'spadeing' the snow? ;D

We've finally got some in the south!

Same here, although it was only an inch or two and it's pretty much all melted now :(.

I don't think we'll get any more this week though - it's supposed to warm up a bit in the south the next couple of days (highs of around 6 or 7 degrees), so they're predicting rain rather than snow for us at the weekend.
