the only problem I see about that, is the people having to send stuff abroad. its most likely not going to be there within that time.
heck, ive ordered something recently thats a few towns over and its not even here yet,and its been over a week!

Hopefully, for anyone shipping overseas, they have given themselves extra time.

That said, I am here biting my nails for an online order to turn up that I was sure I had allowed plenty of time!  (hopefully tomorrow!)  And I keep hearing reports of the post being severely delayed in some locations - at first, I think it was due to the bad weather a week ago, but maybe they are still catching up with that backlog?

For the online opening party day, I'll most likely be at my in-laws by then & no idea what we'll get up to that day - lol!  Will try to pop in, onto the thread at least, to say 'hi' etc but I probably won't be available to do much more than that (being a guest in their home).  :)

We've been having some trouble getting our post up here because of the weather.  Some things I was expecting the first week of December only arrived yesterday (the first day I've had post in 10 days) and I am still waiting on some other things.

I had no post again today, which has officially led me to start worrying a lot more about what we should we do if we might not be able to get our packages out as planned?  :(

ETA: If anyone can tell me how to hunt down my postman and steal my post from him, I would be eternally grateful.  :P

I'm doing my best, folks, and the elves are working round the clock. We're feeding up the reindeer so they'll be as strong and fast as they can possibly be. But I know people will be understanding if the weather prevents me from getting presents to their destinations on time. Trust me - they will get there eventually!
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!!!

I can confirm I had heard that the post is particularly backlogged up there in your neck of the woods, in the north of the north!  Not quite the North Pole, but...  :)

Feliz Navidad a usted también la Sra. R!

Santa weet ook nederlands.Santa kennt auch Deutsch. Santa sait aussi français.

Santa knows all languages.  ;D

Oh caligirl... Your santa would like to know if you have any particular favorite scents and any non favorite scents for bath stuff? Do you have any favorite authors or genres?
Ooh I never spoke to Santa before! Sorry for the late response, I've been in sunny California  :)

I love citrus scents, herby and woody smells and spicy smells. I even like florals - I'm easy to please!

As for books, anything with a good story works for me but romance leaves me cringing. I read loads of different genres, especially historical (for some reason I seem to like reworked myths and stuff set in antiquity) sci-fi and humour. I also loooove cookbooks.

Actually, my Amazon wishlist might be useful.

Thanks Santa!!

Dear barbara_g,

In the interests of efficiency, I've outsourced your gift delivery to the good folks at Amazon. Their elves promise to get it to you between December 18-21, so let's hope they shoot for the earlier end of that spectrum.

I've been very busy the past few weeks with gift preparation and such, but plan to put together a second (small) package over the weekend, which will go out on Saturday/Monday. Apologies that that won't get there by December 20, but perhaps it will brighten up your New Year instead. :)

Ho ho ho!
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!!!

Hi Santa,,,I'm just so glad you remembered me this year, it doesn't matter when you or your elf friends deliver, besides, I have to work anyway so won't be able to come to the party  [smiley=bigcry.gif]  xx b

Dear Santa

Just wanted to let you know (well you probably already know anyway - you're Santa! you know everything!) - that there's a good possibility with DH's & my comings and goings, they seek us here - they seek us there...around the holidays, I may not even be here to take delivery of a present (or collect it when the post office is open) until early in the new year.  You know, depending on when it gets here, if the post is running late, what have you.

So, if you need some extra time, or if the post is running late - don't you worry about that at all.  Similarly, don't worry if I can't tell you on opening party day that it's arrived, because I may not have it in my hands at that time.  Not sure I'll make the opening party either.

Love, Me (Mrs R) xx

Santa completely understands, Mrs Robinson. Not to worry.

Santa also has a message for NoseOverTail. It seems there's been a slight delay with the delivery of your gift and there's a good chance you won't have it by the 20th. Please forgive Santa - it's not his fault.

Hang in there, everyone. All presents will get where they're going eventually!
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!!!

Another message from me, I'm afraid. Teuchtar, it looks as though your gift will be delayed due to weather as well. I've just installed a turbo-charger (MORE POWER!) on the sleigh, so with a little luck things will get where they're going. But the reindeer - especially that cranky Blitzen - are complaining about the ice. We'll do our best!

No worries Santa, even if it was sent problem free, I'm not sure my absentee postman would deliver it in a timely manner anyway.  ;)  It will get here when it gets here!  :)

Oh dear. InkSpirational, I'm so sorry but I just found out that the elf in charge of making your gift superglued all of his fingers together. He's got them unstuck now, and is putting on one last coat of paint on your present and Blitzen has promised to make a special trip so hopefully it will be there soon!
