Yes! I have been there but not lately because my dh doesn't like Mexican food (a lifelong IA I feel). It's pretty good, but it can be difficult to get into sometimes if you don't have a reservation, especially on a weekend. I'd agree that in the US it'd would be pretty average Mexican food, but if you've been here with no US Mexican food for say, oh 2 years, it's fabulous!

The drinks are a bit expensive and the margaritas don't have crushed ice but are just the margarita mixings over ice. It is or at least used to be run by either a family or a group of people actually from Mexico, but I think they just altered stuff for British tastes but changed it slightly differently than they would for American tastes (if that makes some sense). I hope you enjoy it while you are here.

Oh and it's nearish Clifford's tower and the Castle Museum, well between them and Coney Street (the high street), just an fyi if you are wandering York looking for it at some point.
