I have not seen this specific question so thought I would post it here. This is an awesome group.
I was told by other people that have relocated that the shipping company would give you a letter that basically allows you to buy things for export on a tax-exempt status. I have seen them use it a few years back. We just got our letter from our shipping company and so far no luck using it. They said to pay the taxes, keep the receipts and claim it back at customs.
Not sure if anyone has experience with something else I should ask the shipping company to provide.
