We had a big, late lunch so we will probably have sandwiches or something else quick later.

We're having chili. I put it together this morning and it has been simmering for hours already. By the time we are ready to eat it will be perfect. A grey, drizzly day like this needs warming comfort food.

Found some celeriac in my fridge that I needed to use... So this became celeriac and roasted garlic mash, baked fish with lemon and pepper, and roasted veggies. :)

It's the boy's first day on his new job (which is actually IN London!), so I think we're going out to buy some jumpers from Uniqlo (it's FREEZING!) and have dinner at Westfield, we'll probably end up at either Byron or Wahaca :)

Pasta Puttanesca and grilled chicken breasts as DH insists that dinner isn't dinner without meat.  ::)

We also just had amazing bruschetta to start.

We had spaghetti with spicy marinara sauce (made with a scotch bonnet! So good!), garlic bread, and salad.

We're having whole wheat spaghetti with mince, mushroom and garlic sauce and garlic bread. We're having champagne with it and a Black Forest Gateau for dessert.

Instead of going out for our anniversary, we have a fave meal (cooked or takeaway) at home. We tried going out for our first anniversary, but this close to Christmas all the restaurants are insanely busy.

We were going to have jacket potatoes with cottage cheese and broccoli, but since it's National Hamburger Day I'm going to suggest we go to Five Guys instead!  ;D

MMMMMmmmmm, I just had to share because dinner was SO yummy! I made cajun fish tacos which are something I miss heartily living here in the UK. Cajun rubbed cod loin with a mango/cilantro/peppers/cabbage/lime salsa and avocado all wrapped up in tortillas. Perfect way to start the Christmas holiday :)

We went to a friend's last night. He served two types of tortellini in pesto sauce with salmon and garlic bread. After that we had gourmet chocolates, then chocolate ice cream with raspberry liqueur (sp?) poured over it. Later in the evening he served pate on toast. We were stuffed but he kept offering other seasonal treats. We had wine with dinner and more wine and a few spirits through the evening. Not bad for a bachelor.  ;D
