Last night I roasted a bone in prime rib for a scant hour, the result...delicious medium rare on the edge, beautifully rare in the centre...ZOMG!

Served with roasted vine tomatoes, wet polenta, and a red wine/rosemary jus.

nom nom nom.

Tonight I'm making a sort of philly cheese steak baguette from the leftoves.

:)

That sounds amazing! So jealous.

It's our first night of dinner at home since Christmas Eve... The past 2 days have mostly been junk food filled. I'm planning on either making pasta with extra spicy marinara (made with a scotch bonnet) and sauteed greens, or veggie stir fry with rice. I'm torn! :P
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Ham, mushrooms, garlic, onion, cream of mushroom soup, and cheese all mixed with cooked spaghetti, topped with breadcrumbs and more cheese, then baked in a casserole dish. It's not fancy, but it's a nice way to use up leftover ham when you're sick of sandwiches!

Oh that sounds really good to me but Dh doesn't like mushrooms so I might have to pass that onto my sister who loves mushrooms Thanks. ;)  :)

I told my sister about it she said thanks but what temp & how long do you cook it for?

375 for about 20 minutes until it's bubbly. Use two cans of cr of mushroom soup, and a small can of mushrooms (I use fresh and saute them, but you don't have to do that). Don't forget salt and pepper too! If you don't like mushrooms, you could make it with green beans instead and some other cream soup, like cr of celery or something.

I'm not sure if it is the festive season or if she is spoiling us while she still has the chance before we move, but she has been spoiling us a lot lately.

Enjoy it while it lasts. ;)  :) My MIL usually pays for 1 or sometimes both of our tickets to the States I think its cause she is grateful we live in the UK because she is afraid to fly. ;)  :)

I do believe I am experiencing food envy!  ;D That sounds incredible.

We had tacos with pumpkin pie for dessert. Strange combination.  ;D
