We went out for lunch today to our lovely local Thai restaurant, and are off to a party tonight, so probably just something small and quick before we go. :)

Making up for a lovely, but not the healthiest lunch- A colour of the rainbow dinner:

Cod baked in a spicy tomato sauce, roasted leeks and swede, mushrooms, purple broccoli, and kale

That sounds wonderful, PB!

We put a lamb shoulder joint in the slow cooker all day with red wine, onions, and seasoning...  :o It was amazing! I used the juice to make a mint gravy, and we had mash, steamed cabbage, and carrots. :)

We ended up ordering a curry.

Well I was going to have grilled chicken breast done on the GF grill, with steamed veggies & steamed rice. Dh is having chicken chasseuer over rice I didn't fancy that. but now that Aunt Flow is in town I'm not that hungry so I might have chicken noodle soup with the chicken still done on the GF grill chopped up in my soup.

A carrot and squash soup with spelt bread.  I might heat up a Quorn "chicken" patty for me and a real chicken patty for my husband.

I made buttered noodles, roasted vegetables, and olive cheese bread. I'm on my own tonight, and that was as much effort as I was willing to put forth!

We had peppered pork chops 'fried' in olive oil, steamed mushrooms, broccoli and cauliflower with spinach and tomato seasoned with garlic and onion sauteed in olive oil.

I have days like that. I shop for the week on Friday (on rare occasions Saturday), and it is generally a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night when I have no idea what to make because either everything sounds good or nothing we have in appeals to us even if it did Thursday when I was making the shopping list.

Well I think my problem is when Aunt Flow is in town I don't have much of an appetite so Dh might just have to fend for himself the next couple days. ;)  [smiley=blank.gif]
