I had fish and chips and a Tennent's via room service at the hotel I'm in tonight. Ideal last supper in Scotland.  :)

A disappointing Chinese takeaway. Our fave place has gone steadily downhill since being sold to a new owner. We tried the one just down the street and won't be going back.

I pulled some Middle-Eastern style red lentil, tomato and veggie stew out of the freezer.  Hubby added some diced turkey breast to his and I added a bit of veggie sausages to mine.

I made beef pho. With julienned leeks, onion, spring onion and carrot. Star anise, black cardamon and mint flavoured the broth. Was spicy and delicious

Pancakes!  For real...

I don't know how to do English pancakes so it's fluffy American pancakes with syrup and blueberries or strawberries and "squirty cream"...

Sometimes breakfast for dinner just seems right.  And Pancake Day is a good excuse!

We had the odd combination of pancakes and some sort of steak puddingy thing that was wrapped burrito style in a gooshy half raw tasting pastry. I intended just the pancakes but MIL went to the chippy for herself and FIL and picked them up for us.

I was intending to make roasted veggie lasagna. MIL bought us pre-cooked chicken breasts that need to be used today so now I have to come up with a different plan. I suppose we will have baked potatoes and some veg with. I was actually really looking forward to the lasagna.  ::)

I HATE pre-cooked chicken breasts. Unless in a sandwich, which is just about acceptable. Bleugh. :)

I am meeting people from my old work on kingsland road, which is likely to mean vietnamese :) yay East London.
