Last night, my choir performed at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a youth choir festival, so I had a sandwich and crisps in between the rehearsal and the concert.

Today I am SHATTERED from said festival! So DH is cooking. He's making bangers and mash and steamed cabbage at my request. :) I shall be eating it in bed... ;)

We had a late lunch, so we ended up with a quick and easy baked potato with corn and broad beans tonight.

That's awesome!! I hope it went well  :) :)

I made pasta tossed with mackerel, some garlic, olive oil, tomatoes, and chili flakes, and shredded "cabbage*"

*i.e. greens from the allotment that were supposed to be cabbages, but they didn't crown and just shot up instead- still taste good though!

Thanks! It was wonderful. :) It's all of the choirs from every primary and secondary school in the borough coming together... It is truly amazing. The kids, parents, and teachers all absolutely love it.

Dinner tonight... I have no idea, but DH did defrost some chicken thighs. I might do a Thai curry? Or a stir fry? Or cacciatore? To be continued...

That's interesting!  Nature is weird and wonderful.  :)

I had a big-ish birthday lunch with a friend so going light for dinner (hubby has to work late tonight)--maybe tomato soup and broccolli?

Bought Thai curry paste from M&S... Worst thing ever! I had to rinse off my chicken and veg after and make a stir fry sauce to salvage it... It tasted like NOTHING. I'm so annoyed that I just spent so long making a mediocre meal.  >:(

Don't ever try the M&S Mexican range of sauces and stuff.  I wish I could say they tasted of nothing.  Instead, they tasted of tomatoes and dirt.

I believe it. I say it tasted of nothing... but actually it was quite vinegary.  :-\\\\ I won't bother with M&S anymore. I'm so annoyed...

My salvage attempt did work. It was pretty good with my stir fry sauce, but still tasted a bit of the curry paste... Or I guess I should say, of the vinegar.
