Made a lovely corn chowder last night using fresh corn on the cob from our veg box - it was relatively quick & easy = good because both of us were knackered & didn't feel like cooking.

Tonight, hubby's making pizza!  :)

Sounds good!

I'm making patty melts, oven chips from the giant tatties I pulled outta the allotment today, plus purple broccoli (mmm) and carrots.

Sounds good!

PB, this was the Corn Chowder recipe that I used.

I didn't make corn bread to go with it (IMO, I think that'd be overkill, but others may disagree).  I also put chopped up carrots & a veg stock cube in it.  It turned out really, really thick & I had to keep adding milk or water to it to thin it down until the potatoes cooked through, but I might have put a bit too much flour in - as I didn't measure it.  In any case, we liked it.  Oh & we also dribbled a bit of Chipotle Tabasco over it & that was nice too.  :)

Since I was getting tired of soups (I still love you slow cooker!) I actually cooked in the oven tonight. Made mock KFC chicken drumsticks with boiled potatoes, cooked green beans, steamed broccoli and we each had one leftover chocolate peanut butter bar for dessert. Wonderful, plus I made enough for lunch for both of us tomorrow.

I like making things for my husband to heat up at work that makes his coworkers a bit jealous.  ;D

We went to Whole Foods and spent a fortune on beautifully pink sliced roast beef, and lots of salad-y things.

Also  got 2 spaghetti squash, which I am really excited about as I have not seen or tasted it for over 20 years!  :D

I love spaghetti squash!  Haven't had it in many years....

Tonight hubby made a yummy veggie stir fry with noodles and diced turkey for him, veggie chicken pieces for me.

I had my pumpkin spice latte
I had one of those with my lunch today. :) Also got one for my friend who loved it. She said it was like warm liquid pumpkin pie.

For dinner, we're having roasted chicken thighs, couscous, and sauteed veggies? or roasted veggies? I haven't gotten quite that far yet. Lots of good stuff in the veg box this week though!
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!
