DH made baked fish and chips and steamed runner beans. Bless him!  I was so tired today and worked really late, and he was already cooking when I got home. Let me lay down while he finished up.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Yesterday was a turnip and bacon bake and some cabbage on the side

Today, J and I went fishing. I was rubbish at it.
But we've got a nice one, almost 4 lbs- so having that (plenty of leftovers), baked sweet potatoes, purple broccoli and cabbage
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Yum!

We did a huge Costco shop today because we have felt very under-stocked lately... I roasted 2 whole chickens! (Shredded and froze most of the meat. ;) ) Homemade gravy, baked sweet potatoes, sauteed cabbage, leeks, and carrots, and some dinner rolls DH made the other day. It was like a mini-Thanksgiving here today! :)

Chicken on the grill, probably the last of the corn on the cob of the season  :(, and steamed potatoes.

I meant to post last night but I fell asleep on the couch at 630  :o  Last night Hubby and I had grilled sirloin steaks, twice baked potatoes, and some YUMMY sauteed mushrooms. Daughter doesn't like steak so I made some pizza dough and made her pizza.

This sounds great, I've been craving a roast chicken

I made Majuli fishcakes with tomato relish (with leftover trout) and maharashtrian spiced cabbage and some garlic-coriander-chilli naan on the side

Well, I was going to make steak and ale pie, but someone seems to have consumed all the ale in the house  ::)

I've dubbed tonight as "leftover night." We have roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes and carrots, steamed and fresh broccoli, cooked green peas, leftover vegetarian curry, an open jar of pasta sauce, and an open jar of homemade salsa that needs to be eaten!

Same in my house! We've got Chicken, Roast beef, Salads, veg, Spaetzle, etc. So I'll throw together something for myself tonight! :)

Drool!

Drool for yours as well Andee.  :D

I was in the mood for cabbage rolls but not in the mood for the work involved so I made Cabbage Roll Soup. It was so good, I may never bother with the rolls again!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Yum!! Do you have a recipe?

I'm currently munching on a turkey vegetable casserole that I made in the slow cooker, having over turnip mash

I made butternut squash soup with a kick, except it seems to be mostly kick-less. We couldn't find jalapeno peppers, so grabbed rocket chili instead (which is apparently 5-10x as strong), but it's still quite mild. :( We have a ton of chilis left, though, so maybe we'll have to try again if we get another butternut squash in the veg box.

I made buffalo chicken dip and ate it with cucumber slices as I couldn't be bothered to cook much :) Was good! :)
