Yesterday we had Sunday roast (lamb) with roasties, parsnips, steamed cabbage & gravy.  And for afters, DH made baked apples served with homemade apple ice cream - drooool!

Tonight I'm making a spaghetti thing with aubergines in red sauce (sort of a deconstructed eggplant parmesan, only healthier without all the breading & frying & baking).  We had aubergine on pizza Saturday night - OMG I forgot how much I loooooove aubergines!  Now I am really craving them.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Having some kind of tomato-based stew with chorizo, peppers, chick peas, kidney beans, and whatever else happens to be in the fridge.

Going over to my new housemates tonight and we're having rack of lamb, dauphinoise potatoes and broccoli.  I think they're trying to impress me.  ;)

I made split pea soup (lentils really) in the slow cooker and it was quite good, if I do say so myself

"Improvised pizza" Used flat bread from asda, chicken, and ragu sauce. Topped with basil and thyme. It all worked really well, and DH was well impressed. :D
