Plan is to make chicken breast, stuffed with soft herby cheese and wrapped in Parma ham, swede/carrot mash, and green beans
Quite nice for a Friday night, but not too much work!

That sounds sexy! Yum! We're being lazy and having veggie burgers, with tater tots for him and a baked potato for me. We'll do our Valentine meal tomorrow.

I have the stuff to make Toad in the Hole, but I'm making an apple cobbler for a Valentine's Day dessert and well, that just seems like a lot of 'things covered in batter'. I might request take out for tonight and leave the Toad in the Hole for tomorrow!

Last night we had chicken slow cooked in Smokehouse Maple seasoning, and red, yellow and orange peppers, mushrooms and broccoli sauted in garlic and thyme, over Basmati rice.

Tonight we are having veggie burgers, with tater tots for him and a baked potato for me, planned for a couple days ago.

We let Domino's do the cooking tonight. Neither of us had the energy to cook.

Cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We were supposed to have this last night, but the meat didn't thaw in time. That meant we HAD to go out for pizza!  :P

Chicken Tikka Masala, heat strength 6, and spinach naan. We ate early, as soon as they opened at 4:30 as a very late lunch, and will have leftovers as a late evening snack in the hotel room. Two meals for the price of one.

Homemade beef vegetable soup with..... dumplings? Hubby seems to think they will work just as good in a veggie broth soup (I cheated and used V8) as they would in a stew. Guess we are going to find out later. I think they go great in beef stew or chicken stew, but seem an odd combination with veggie soup.

lol This is fantastic.  I bet it was good. V8, lol...

I took homemade chili out for dinner to have over tortilla chips--hello nachos--but I wanna brag about our LUNCH instead.

The other night I made Beef Pot roast in the crock pot [simple--meat, potatoes, onions, rosemary], and the night before we had spring rolls with the main filler being sauteed red cabbage [cabbage, onions, garlic, FRESH GINGER, rice vinegar, soy sauce and dark sesame oil].

I didn't want anything to go to waste so I MIXED THE TWO TOGETHER in a pan to heat up and it turned out to be phenomenal meal.  I love leftover throw-togethers!

Sounds great Wren!

I've been cooking up some good meals lately - man I love cooking!
Chickpea, cauliflower and green bean curry- a really aromatic one with garam masala, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger flavours- was quite pleased with the balance of flavours

Piri piri slow cooked shredded turkey with colcannon

Coriander and chilli prawns, with grilled peppers and onions, all stuffed into a baked tortilla bowl, with salad and a corn and black bean salsa

Tonight is griddled sirloins, oven chips, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, and sautéed greens  (anyone want any tatties? We have tons left from the allotment still!) - this is nice and simple - exhausted from my day and J is poorly

The dumplings weren't as horrible as I expected them to be in beef veggie soup, for once, but I wouldn't do it again. The soup itself was awesome. After adding the herbs and spices it was impossible to tell it was simple V8 juice for the broth.  ;D

Tonight it is steak chili with lots of peppers, made by our friend Chris.
