DH is having haggis and tatties, he doesn't like neeps.   :)  I feel a cold coming on so I'm in the mood for tomato soup.

Oops!
I forgot I bought a can of *bleep*-a-leekie soup, I'll be having that for my tea instead of tomato.   :)

New housemate and I are headed for dinner in the big city!  Methinks Thai at Red Chilli beginning with a cocktail at Epernay.  ;D ;D

We are eating our way through the PW's cookbook.  1 recipe each week.  Tonight is this week's recipe and it's her meatloaf and twice baked potatoes, but I already had a similar recipe for both.  We'll see which tastes better!

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

In laws invited us over for Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties.

But haggis grosses me out so I had leftover Sloppy Joe, Neeps, and Tatties. ;)

I wish I had haggis last night for Burns night!   But there was no haggis to be found here at the restaurant we were at in Limerick, so the Scots (and I) were disappointed.  However, it was another posh meal out!

Monday's posh meal was Duck Rolls and Butternut Squash and Sage Ravioli in chilli-garlic oil

Last night was chilli prawns and then chicken breast over black pudding mash, carrots, and mushroom sauce

Tonight's another posh meal out....

So much for the healthy eating this week.  But it sure tastes good!!!

I've never gotten food on my underpants!

My mother's chicken and rice all-in-one dish that has mixed veg and green olives in it. It makes me feel not so physically separated from her when I make her signature dishes.

This is us too! Fish with a side of Brussel sprout curry tonight. :)
